Stan DeCarlo Moves to Riverdale
Your name is Stan DeCarlo. It's been two days since you've moved to a town called Riverdale with your parents, and in that brief period of time you feel that your life has truly gone from tops to flops. The friends you've grown up with are all miles away, and in less than three weeks you'll have the unwelcome distinction of being known as the new kid in school at Riverdale High. The only positive thing about the move is that Josie and the Pussycats, one of your favorite bands, live in nearby Midvale. Why did dad have to take that job at Lodge Industries, you think to yourself woefully, were there really no decent accounting jobs to be had in Florida?
As you look around your new bedroom from the lonely comfort of your bed, you begin to create a mental list of things that you want to change in this new and strange environment. If you're going to be stuck in this house for a while, your room should really have a personal touch. The wallpaper, for instance, just doesn't work for you- not that you have anything against pink elephants and cherries that look like rejects from a casino slot machine.
A part of you just wants to stay in bed all day long and drown in self-pity. On the other hand, the weather outside is beautiful and there's a whole new world to discover out there in Riverdale. Maybe getting up and about will cheer you up?
What are you going to do?
Just stay where you are and sulk some more. There's nothing out there for you.
-
Get out of bed and explore Riverdale. Life must go on.
